There are two groups of almshouses in Buckingham.
Six one bedroom flats are located on Market Hill. Behind the building’s listed façade, the ground and first floor flats have been refurbished to provide modern, light and airy accommodation of generous proportions.
Buckingham’s shops, library, buses and other facilities are just a few yards away.
of Christ’s Hospital was completed early in 2014 and the beneficiaries were able to return to their flats from their temporary accommodation in Buckingham.
Six ground floor, bedsit apartments are located within the conservation area of Church Street, adjacent to the Radcliffe centre and close to St Peter and St Paul’s church. Each apartment has a rear garden.
The Charity plans to refurbish
these properties, to ensure that they meet all modern standards.
Fundraising is under way and the Trustees welcome expressions of interest to support the refurbishment project.
Please contact the Secretary
for further details of potential support mechanisms.
Almshouse vacancies are advertised on the News
page. Please print and complete the application form
and consent form
and return them to the Secretary.
